The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Akure, Ondo State, was on Thursday gutted by fire.

Chief Fire Officer in the state, Mr Adanalwo Philips, who confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, said the situation was currently being put under control.
He said, “The fire only gut a container in a confined section, which is very close to the office the commission.
“It was about spreading inside the offices when we raced to the venue but we have been able to put the situation under control. It is not what we should be worried about.”
The governorship election in the state has been scheduled for October 10.
Although there are 17 candidates in the election, political pundits have said the race is among Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party and Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Here is what happened on the night of the drama. So, MC Galaxy who became popular on Instagram for his 2016 hit single,’Sekem’usually holds his Instagram live video with fans on Fridays told fans Etinosa will be joining his live video.
Etinosa who started out by producing skits after joining the live video told viewers on the Instalive video she wanted to exhibit her body.
She was saying in the video while stripping;
“I want to get naked. My boyfriend is here, I want him to go so that I can get naked. Guys hold on let me lock the door,” she said, drinking from a glass that seemed to contain alcohol.
“I know that my boyfriend has logged on to check what is going on, thunder will fire my boyfriend because I am ready to end the relationship. I am not joking, we have broken up. Every day, I am sorry. I am tired of living my life for people. I want to live my life for me to be happy. Sorry viewers, I have a potbelly”.
MC Galaxy who wanted to disconnect was slammed by Etinosa. She said;
“MC if I slap you, open your eyes you dey craze. If you cut it (the Instalive video) I will cut you in life. Is it your body? It’s my body I want to exhibit my body. I want to be expressing my body.
“Some people are calling my phone, I want to be happy, my body is beautiful. I am comfortable showing my naked body. I am happy with my nakedness.”
She practically removed everything she was wearing one by one while MC Galaxy and fans who logged in to the Instalive were enjoying the show.
MC Galaxy was however dragged on social media for intentionally continuing the live video even when he knew the actress could not be in her right senses going completely naked while thousands of people watch.
In defense, MC Galaxy said the whole thing was planned by the two of them but he didn’t expect Etinosa to remove everything.
“I need to say the whole truth about this live video thing once and for all. The live video thing we planned it. I and Etinosa actually planned that stuff but I wasn’t happy the way the whole thing turned out to be on me alone,” he was quoted to have said.
“We planned it but we did not plan she would ”over naked” like that. She overdid it when she came on live video.”
Etinosa, however, took to her Instagram handle to accuse Galaxy of“lying to Nigerians”about the occurrence. She maintained that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time and never conspired the video.
“Stop lying to Nigerians. They are not stupid. This is the last I will say on this hurtful issue. It hurts me a lot and you can tell by the harsh stupid way I cursed an innocent child because his father won’t stop throwing it at my face,”Etinosa wrote, in a now-deleted post.
She also had an interview with Inside Nollywood where she said admitted that she was under the influence of alcohol however, there is nothing she can do to undo the deed. She also said she doesn’t think the incident will affect her chances of getting married someday.
“It (the nude video) was (done) under the influence of alcohol. However, the deed has been done. I just had to keep quiet and move on. I can’t explain to everybody what really happened, after all, not everybody is intelligent enough to assimilate and understand certain things. I just had to keep calm and keep my head up high.
“I also don’t think it might affect my chances of getting married someday (laughs). Africa is so freaked about marriage. My dear, if marriage is in one’s destiny it will come.”
On the lessons she learned from the scandal, Etinosa said:“If you must drink alcohol, at least do have a friend you trust, who would be with you and seize your phone if things start getting out of hand. She also monitors you, so you don’t do anything stupid. Also, please know your gauge when drinking. Don’t presume you are fine and conscious of your environment. Simply put, drink responsibly.”
Recalling her growing up days, the Edo State-born entertainer revealed that she was a spoilt child who never lacked anything from her parents.
Etinosa started producing comedy skits In 2013. The skits enjoyed rave reviews, bringing her relative success in the Nigerian entertainment industry. She won the award for Best Online Comic Act at the 2016 Scream Awards.
In 2016, the actress enrolled at the Royal Arts Academy, Lagos, Nigeria, where she obtained a Diploma in Performing Arts, after which she quit her engineering job to pursue a full-time career in entertainment.
Her first movie role was a minor cameo appearance in A Little White Lie produced by Emem-Isong. She has featured in a number of notable Nollywood movies and TV series like Alter Ego, Chairman, Corpershun among others.

He reminded fellow citizens that from 1999 to 2014, the average production of oil in Nigeria was 2.1 million barrels per day sold at an average price of $100.
President Buhari recounted:“When we came, it collapsed to $37, $38 per barrel, you know it. And the militants were unleashed on the administration, and the production went down to half a million barrels per day.
“I want you to please reflect, what was the condition of the infrastructure then, in spite of those earnings. The roads, the rail is dead and there was no power, up till now no power; where does the money go?”
Earlier, the federal government, through the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) had hands-off from fixing prices for petrol . This came after the PPPRA’s executive secretary, Abdulkadir Saidu, on Tuesday, September 8, announced that from now on, factors that would determine the retail price of the product will be influenced by demand and supply and the global market.
Speaking on behalf of Saidu, Victor Shidok, PPPRA’s general manager for administration and human resources, said that in order to prevent abuse of the government’s consent, the agency will remain the regulator for marketers.
Saidu said:“This, however, must be in accordance with our code of conduct because as a regulator, it is our duty to protect the consumer and operators must abide by our codes.”
President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed what happened when he visited United States President, Donald Trump at the White House in April 2018.

A popular US-based Ghanaian pastor identified as Sylvester Ofori has been arrested after he shot his wife Barbara Tommey dead.
The incident took place outside the 27-year-old woman’s workplace at the Navy Federal Credit Union, near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, on Tuesday 8th September 2020.
Barbara was shot by Sylvester, near the business’ front doors on the 4600 block of Gardens Park Boulevard just before 9 a.m., an Orlando Police Department spokesperson said.
Tommey was pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center shortly after she was rushed there for medical attention.
Ofori, 35, was taken into custody at his apartment Tuesday evening, the OPD spokesperson said. He is being held at the Orange County Jail without bond on a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.
During a press conference Tuesday morning, Chief Orlando Rolón said the shooting was captured on CCTV.
“You can tell that she was surprised by what was happening,” he said.
The Navy Federal Credit Union released a statement on the shooting.
The statement reads: “This morning, a team member was fatally injured during an act of violence outside our Millenia branch, by a man she knew, according to the police.
“Our thoughts are with our team member’s family. Our number one priority is keeping both our members and team members safe. We will ensure all team members at the branch are provided with the support they need during this time. Any further information can be provided by the Orlando Police Department.”
Pastor Sylvester has reportedly been abusing his wife for a long time. Due to the abuse, Barbara was persuaded by her family to leave him. But Sylvester tracked her to her workplace yesterday and shot her 7 times.
A woman named Lisa, who witnessed the shooting, said: “I’m shaken up right now, I’m still shaken up.”
She said she saw Barbara come outside to move her car before she was shot.
“The next thing I knew, he raised his hand with the gun in it, and he shot her,” she said.

Lisa spoke highly of the deceased woman.
She said: “She was always very nice when I came into the bank. She’s very nice, very nice.”

The elaborate wedding ceremony held last Friday at a time many Nigerians were complaining of hardship as a result of President Muhammadu Buhari government’s harsh economic policies.
On Sunday, Daily Trust published a cartoon showing the President’s wife holding pictures of the wedding on her hands and displaying them in the faces of Nigerians struggling to find their balance in life.
The cartoon drew inspiration from Aisha’s several posts on Instagram where she displayed pictures of Hanan’s wedding.
In reaction to the cartoon, Mrs Buhari said children of Nigerian leaders had the right to get married whether they were performing or not.
Aisha’s spokesperson, Aliyu Abdullahi, told BBC Pidgin that Hanan’s wedding was a low key ceremony.
He said, Quote
“The cartoon of Mustapha Bulama trending is very unfair because the wedding wasn’t in anyway insensitive to what Nigerians are going through. In fact, because of that, Mrs Aisha Buhari held a meeting with her staff and told us she wants the wedding to be low key with no massive celebrations.
“The photo she posted of the couple for social media was to thank well wishers and not to rub it on Nigerian faces.”
Supporters of President Buhari had earlier described Daily Trust as toilet paper over the cartoon.
“This has further proved that your publication is toilet paper and should be trashed in the bottom pit of hell. Shame on you,” one of them said.
Another supporter of Buhari, Abdul Ishaka, said, Quote
