Jonathan, Lawan, Gbajabiamila pay respect to late Emir

Former President Dr Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan, Yobe State Governor Maimala Buni and other notable Nigerians, on Tuesday paid condolence visits to the Emir’s palace.
Former President Jonathan said he was at the palace to pay his condolence to Emirate council, people of Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna state. He described the late Emir as a man of peace who embraced everybody.
He was accompanied by the former Vice President, Mohammed Sambo, Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle, Aminu Wali, and former Adamawa State Governor Boni Haruna among others.
Also, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila said during his visit to the family of the late Emir yesterday that the monarch will be greatly missed.
Gbajabiamila, while commiserating with the Government and People of Kaduna State over the death of the first class traditional ruler, said they were not alone.
The Speaker was received by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Balarabe Abbas Lawal in behalf of Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
